HOUSTON - A woman was killed after her vehicle collided with the rear of a stalled 18-wheeler on the westbound lanes of South Loop West near Kirby Drive. Houston police responded around midnight following reports of a crash. According to investigators, a passenger vehicle struck the rear of a stalled 18-wheeler. The female driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Police said the woman's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No one else was inside the passenger vehicle at the time of the crash.
